Outdoor Playground Backboard System Upgrades
If you have an existing post there is a good chance we can salvage/use the post and just replace the backboard and rim, saving you the money and hassle of having to remove and replace the post.

Description
Upgrading your existing outdoor basketball system is easy and hopefully will allow us to use your existing post, saving the cost of removal and purchase of an entire system. These packages have a slotted mounting brackets which allow you to get perfect 10′ rim height working off virtually any old post.
These easiest way for us to determine your options is to send me a few pictures. One from the top of the key so I can see the entire board, one from behind the board so I can see how it affixes to the structure, and one from an angle so I can see the entire system, board, structure and wall/ceiling.

First Team RetroFit36/42 backboard packages are a perfect, hassle free choice for replacing old, worn out backboards on existing basketball posts.
Each RetroFit36/42 backboard package includes backboard, rim and easy-mount RetroFit36 bracket. The RetroFit36/42 bracket is built with two vertical slots on the back side of the bracket. These slots are positioned 5″ apart horizontally. Because the slots are 5″ apart, it is recommended that the attachment plate at the end of the existing basketball post be at least 6″x6″ in size. NOTE: Four holes may need to be drilled into the mounting plate on the neck of the post to match the 5″ slot dimension. Once attached, the vertical slots in the RetroFit36/42 bracket will allow the backboard and rim to be fine tuned so perfect 10′ rim height can be reached.
The RetroFit36/42 is available with a variety of backboard and rim options. Check below for package options. For additional safety, backboard padding is available in a variety of colors for all RetroFit36/42 packages. First Team also offers a wide range of post pads to protect players from running into the basketball post.

All RetroFit packages are covered with a Lifetime Limited Warranty. Does not cover deliberate hanging on the rim. Tempered glass backboards packages are only warranted in private, single-home residential applications. HOAs, public playgrounds, churches, parks, should all stay with clear acrylic, steel or aluminum backboards.
